Happy Thanksgiving everyone! So, is everyone going to be stuffing themselves with food for the holiday? Anything special for the meal? I'm vegetarian, so I don't eat turkey. But hide the cranberry sauce from me... mmmm....

We don't celebrate today as a holiday, but that doesn't mean I wont be enjoying the crap out of a long 4-day weekend thanks to it!! hehe
Today we are watching the Macy's Parade - which is pretty nifty.
Would like to wish those who do celebrate today, a very Happy Thanksgiving.

Even if you don't celebrate the holiday, don't you cook oodles of food? That's basically what I do. I really don't celebrate the backstabbing of the Native Americans. It's just a good excuse to eat cranberry sauce and enjoy a day off from work...

Dude...we cook oodles of food on a daily basis anyway. We don't need an excuse.

Australia: Went to school, handed in last piece of assessment for the year, caught a cold, came home to sleep it off.
A good day all in all.

The only public holidays after June are Christmas day and New years eve.
However; we have like thirty in the first three months.

Australia tends to be portrayed as quite the place to party here in the States.

Ah, yes, our culture is based largely around drinking (and that national identity has extended to drugs and partying). Rum was our countries first currency, and Pubs were treated like Banks (although how they bought things at pubs no-one really has any idea, probably the barter system).
