I have been made an equitable offer to merge with another close ally. Given that Universalis isn't very active - and that I cannot further spur people into activity or joining - this may be the right decision. I am, however, hesitant to merge given all the effort I have placed into the nation. It has been running for well over a year now, and is possibly the longest-lived of any of my projects. This is not something I wish to do lightly.
However, this is still a democracy. So I would like to hear the opinion of others on this first.

I dont feel particularly good about a merger until unles its a bit nation (Like Gralus or Shieroth) where we can be guaranteed that everything will be preserved.

Actually, it was Nelaga that approached me about it. But yes, I was thinking a 'protectorate' status or something would be good.

One can never be 100% sure.
I'm not really sure how a merger with Nelaga would work anyways. They're more about magic, we're more about science.

Well it seems we've lost the good doctor to who knows what.... So I'm going to approach Nelaga again about making this merger happen, since it doesn't seem likely that we'll keep this place alive otherwise.
