The Universal Starfleet will begin construction of the new Di-Wing Class Shuttle-Fighter. Jumping beyond smaller scale transport shuttles the Di-Wing is a nuclear-powered multirole starship capable of deep space flight. It cannot launch from the ground and must be constructed in orbit at our drydocks, which will be completed soon.
Most components will be manufactured on the ground and shipped up via a space elevator that utilizes carbon nanotubes. The materials can then be moved to the drydock station via miniature robotic transports that run on solar power.
The Di-Wing is armed with torpedoes and heat lasers that can cut through steel. Weapons beyond this level of technology are not currently available to us. Unlike traditional rockets however, the torpedoes used here will run on hydrogen, which is a more renewable energy resource.
