The Temple of the Outer Gods is located on the shores of Leng, outside of the cyclopian village of Zi'yeh Kla. It is a massive structure built into the cliffs of the great plateau that stretches out across the island. The otherwise inaccessible interior of Leng is said to be reached by a hidden stairway carved into the cliff and hidden somewhere in the temple. Only those such as the Tcho Tcho Lama are said to know of this path, and to have taken it to the fabled ruins of the Great Old Ones atop the plateau and the Altar of Nyarlathotep, where the High Priest Not to be Described is said to reside.
It is at the Temple of the Outer Gods that the Tcho Tcho people of Leng come to worship the Old Ones. Nyarlathotep, messenger and avatar of the Gods. Azathoth, the jibbering ruler of the universes. Cthuhlu, Sorcerer of the Gods. Dagon, Lord of the Abyss. Shub-Niggurath, the Dark One. And so on and so forth. Sacrifices are made to the Gods in different manners, each fitting to the particulars of the deity being worshipped. Sacrificial victims are usually volunteers from Zi'yeh Kla or Mholog, although prisoners are occasionally used, especially for the more carnal sacrifices.
Foreigners are prohibited from entering the Temple of the Outer Gods, and only indoctrinated initiates within the Order are allowed to come and worship and/or partake in the ceremonies. In fact, the entire grounds of the temple are off limits to outsiders, and only permanent residents of Zi'yeh Kla are allowed passage without being scrutinized. Although Zi'yeh Kla is a populous city, the air of alien antiquity that permeates the area keeps people at a distance.
