Universalis welcomes opening diplomatic ties with any nation willing to speak with us, provided that they are peaceable people and not violating any basic human rights, such as forced segregation, racism, or other hate crimes. Otherwise we are more than happy to establish trade, peace, military, research or any other kind of treaty you can think of.

As a citizen of Natopia i i wish to make a few comments:
I hope that we can be productive and friendly neighbors and that our space programs can grow through cooperation.

I feel that at this stage discussions on a 'pact' should be put off for a short while. This however is not a critical comment against universus or yourself, just that Natopia has a long history of failed pacts, alliances etc.

What about a standard peace treaty then?

Peace treaty sounds fine as well as provisions for cooperation between the Universal Starfleet and the Natopian Spacefleet.

Our alliances always work as long as everyone else in the alliance doesn't up and found a new cartographic society

But for the sake of argument, what did you have in mind for the Demesos Demesnes? Universalis and Natopia are the only two nations that have their capitals on Tapfer... would Alexandria, Stormark and Interland be party to this pact?

And as for the DD, I dunno, I was just tossing the idea out there. I suppose they could/should be invited, since Demesos covered the whole area at one time. But it doesn't have to be a complete rip-off of Novasolum or be as regulatory. Some cooperation would be nice though, eh?

We don't have any pre-made treaties... but how about:

Treaty of Aristarchus
Between
The Technocracy of Universalis
And
The Sovereign Natopian Empire

Whereas our two nations posses our prime territory on the common continent of Tapfer,

And seeing that our two nations share a keen interest in the pursuit of space travel,

The nations of the Technocracy of Universalis and the Sovereign Natopian Empire hereby enter into a state of mutual friendship and cooperation under the following conditions:

1. Both signing parties recognize and support the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the other.
2. Each party will support the other in their endeavors to promote space exploration as a legitimate and noble enterprise among nations.
3. Citizens of each party shall enjoy full visitor status within the territory of each party.
4. Neither party shall engage in hostile actions against the other. Furthermore, intelligence pertaining to the security of the other signing party shall be shared.
5. The Starfleet of Universalis and the Spacefleet of Natopia shall enter into a state of cooperation. Facilities of either organization shall be made available to vessels and personnel in the event of emergencies or otherwise approved circumstances.

In order to foster interstellar peace and cooperation, the two organizations, referred to as the Natopian Spacefleet and the Mecha Force, hereby acknowledge and agree on the following points:

1. The Natopian Spacefleet may dock at Super Fortress Vi'Ix for repairs and resupply.
2. The Natopian Spacefleet will render assistance to the defense of Super Fortress Vi'Ix.
3. Mecha Force will render assistance to any Natopian supply and transport ships under unprovoked attack if the Natopian Spacefleet is out of range.
4. The Natopian Spacefleet will transport any goods to the Super Fortress upon the Command Center's request, allowing for logistical possibility.
5. The Mecha Force will not attack any element of the Natopian Spacefleet.
6. The Natopian Spacefleet will not attack any element of the Mecha Force.
