Historic Territory Restoration

In an effort to consolidate Universalis' land holdings on Micras, and to return our land holdings to their historical state, I have been undertaking foreign missions to neighboring micronations in an effort to secure exchanges in which we could re-obtain said lands.

Two of these have proven quite successful. Stormark has acceded to my request and graciously agreed to re-locate Port Chole and Kejsarinna Asa Land in exchange for West Universalis and for a new plot of land on Eura.

Interland has also agreed to a swap of land by trading the colony of Koloniatsk for New Montauk. While the island is important to us strategically, it is more important to regain our historical territory, and the population of New Montauk will be re-settled at a new location closer to Tiberion, which is their main support function.

A proposal will be made to Natopia to politely ask that they vacate East Tapfer in order that we may re-claim our historic territory, and they can claim an equal land area on the remaining open land of the continent. Since this hasn't been broached with them yet, I cannot report status at this time.

Further negotiations have proven quite successful, and after much delineation, Natopia has agreed to return to us almost 50% of our historic territory and restore over 90% of our original western boundary. Given their extremely close relationship with (old) Lavalon, this is quite generous on their part, especially considering they are under no obligation to cede us the land.

This is a map which shows the newly-delineated borders which have been agreed upon. We are in the process of formalizing this as a treaty now.

I am happy to see this, and am thankful to Natopia for its benevolent gesture. Once we finalize all the to-do, we've got quite a lot of work ahead of us! *rubs hands together* Can't wait to get to it!!

Pretty much everything west of Koloniatsk, save for the Celestial Isles, is presently unorganized. That will most likely be made into one yet-to-be-named region.

Just an update to this - the MCS has finally approved the first set of transfer claims. Basically the trading of New Montauk for Koloniatsk and the land switch of West Universalis for Kejsarinna Asa Land and Port Chole.

We will be submitting a joint claim to the MCS with Natopia in the near future to make the rest of the land transfer cartographically official.
